Accordian

I was in Atlanta, Georgia this week for training due to a recent promotion so I decided to junkyard hunt. I found the air conditioning line I needed for my 4runner but also stumbled upon this.  It looks like a 80 Honda Accord. Manual transmission and from the looks, sitting for a long time in a field neglected.  Kinda sad,  I think it would be a cool daily with a little tlc and some nice wheels, and yes that is a EA civic sedan in the background.

To the Max.

So I started a new job this past Monday. As I was on the way to the bus stop I spotted this clean second gen Maxima. Looks to be either an 87 or 88 SE 5 speed. Now to find the owner.

Well this is awkward.

Well we definitely dropped the ball on this one.  The silver mx73 with the kaminari kit is still in existence and it is infact still silver, not blue. We reported this drastic change the day after I got married in 2013 when we found that car sitting on the street. Well we were wrong.

When I heard that the car still existed froma friend the other day I was doubtful. We went on a little search to find it.  When I saw the car for myself again the only thing I could say was Holy shit. So this led to a good point Sam pointed out, who did it first ? Well the guy who owns this car said without hesitation " they copied me ". Who knows,  the only thing we can infer from looking at these two cars are this was a popular conversion from one custom car shop back in the day, Rayco on Queens blvd. The cuts and moulds are exactly the same between the two cars. Time to go find out more about the blue one now.
