Lurking..

So...

This was found today by complete accident.
Driving by Smokey Park I Sam spotted this in a yard

" ITS A MUSTANG MAN, SOME OLD ONE, BUT HE DON'T GOT NO TITLE FOR IT "
- Words from the lady who occupied the dwelling....

1977 Triumph Spitfire 1500cc.
4cyl, 4spd Sitting since 2002.

Sam & I spoke to the owner of the car, he seemed very.... weird
He wanted to do a " body lift "..? beats me, but the car was in good shape. Unlike older British cars the body wasn't falling apart and from his words it ran and drove to where it sat now as a lovely yard ornament, 6 Years ago.

Opened the one piece bonnet to reveal the original 1500cc 4cyl still intact, and upgraded with a Crane Ign system, & Weber DGV carb from what I saw. Should seem peppy and a fun little roadster to zip around with.

Remnants from the past....

My uncle's 1981 Camaro circa 1992...
1981 LT, 305 v8 Auto.

This is how it sits now

3~4 Owners later, neglected, abused, beaten to absolute shit

It was sold sometime in the early 90s after that first picture was taken, sat, sold, sat, sold and finally sat when another family member tracked it down and bought it from the owner, where it sat in his yard in disrepair and finally decided to give in on the project because at that point..
It had no frame rails, no trunk , no floors and didn't run, the crudely 80's cut sunroof was leaking and destroyed the interior.

The current owner bought the car as a parts car for his various Firebirds and Trans Ams

Sadly this car will never see the road again, it will relinguish as just a parts car that has nothing good left on it, so.. most likely the end of the road for this once prime machine is nearing FAST.
RIP memories, Go onto that big drive-in somewhere in a better place...
